resistant to break-ins and\/or firearms, which are used in strategic sectors such as banks, the luxury sector, armed forces and defense, SEVESO industrial sites and nuclear sites, airports, embassies, courthouses, and locations occupied by governments and parliaments.<\/p>\n<p>While maintaining the METAL+ Inside concept, Heinen covers the entire bulletproof range, from 9mm to military rifle 7.62mm, including the AK47.<\/p>\n<p>We naturally assist our clients in making the right choice to determine the appropriate level of protection based on the risks involved and the firearms available on the market.<\/p>\n<p>Ballistic resistance, as determined by the EN 1522-1523 standard, requires a result obligation defined by the prohibition of any perforation of the wall.<\/p>\n<h3>What is meant by perforation?<\/h3>\n<p>It refers to the penetration of the wall by a projectile or a part of it and\/or an opening created between the attack side and the opposite side.<\/p>\n<p>The following cases are considered perforations: passage of the projectile or a part of it through the test body (door, frame); bursting of the rear face of the test body by the bullet or part of it, even if it is visibly retained on the rear side of the test body; creation of a passage through the test body even if this passage later closes.<\/p>\n<p>Ballistic tests must be conducted according to the detailed procedure in the EN 1522-1523 standard and by accredited official laboratories.<br \/>\nHeinen doors are tested at the Armament and Ballistics Chair Laboratory of the Royal Military School of Brussels EN 1063<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"prose \">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Two European standards currently serve as the ballistics reference and provide the framework for the testing and classification of resistance to attack by bullets.<\/p>\n<p>These standards include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>construction elements subjected to tests (security glazing =&gt; EN 1063 \/ windows, doors, shutters and blinds =&gt; EN 1522-1523)<\/li>\n<li>a different symbol to illustrate the classes (the letters \u2018BR\u2019 for standard EN 1063 and \u2018FB\u2019 for standard EN 1522-1523)<\/li>\n<li>test that are carried out only at the core of the element for standard EN 1063, additional tests that also cover the seals and structures for standard EN 1522-1523.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The standard regulates a series of parameters to provide a framework for the laboratory tests in order to obtain comparable test results.<\/p>\n<h3>Classification<\/h3>\n<p>Glazing is classified in levels BR1 to BR7 and doors in FB1 to FB7.
