They are tested to EN 13123-2 and EN 13124-2, which qualify the complete assembly \u2014 leaf, frame, and anchors \u2014 against a real explosive load. They are found in petrochemicals and chemicals, in energy and nuclear, on pharmaceutical sites, as well as on ammunition depots, embassies, and institutional buildings. Built on the EI2 120 fire-rated substrate, they combine blast resistance and fire resistance in a single unit, and adapt to the constraints of industrial, energy, and sensitive sites.<\/p>\n<p>Heinen Doors meets a blast-resistance requirement in two ways. When the configuration matches our real-world tests, conducted in accordance with EN 13123-2 and EN 13124-2 on single and double leaves, we present directly the solution resulting from these tests, which reach class EXR3 on the hinge side and EXR1 on the opposite side. The peak pressure is relatively low, but the impulse, that is, the energy transmitted over time, is high. This is the typical scenario of an accidental industrial explosion or a long-range attack.<br \/>\n<strong>EN 13123-1 \/ EN 13124-1<\/strong> \u2014 Shock tube test. This method simulates distant explosions with large charges: from 100 to 2,500 kg of TNT at distances of 35 to 50 m. It results in a classification of <strong>EPR1 to EPR4<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>EXR<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>EXR<\/strong> corresponds to smaller, closer charges. The peak pressure is high, but the impulse is short. This is the scenario of a charge placed in the immediate vicinity of the leaf.<br \/>\n<strong>EN 13123-2 \/ EN 13124-2<\/strong> \u2014 Free-field test (arena test). This is the reference method used by Heinen: the door is subjected to a real explosion under controlled conditions, with charges of 3 to 20 kg of TNT at 3 to 5 m. This is the blast configuration of a large-scale attack at a distance.<\/p>\n<p>The standard provides a correlation table between the new PXR classes and the former EXR classes. Heinen blast-resistant doors, tested at EXR3 on the hinge side and EXR1 on the opposite side, thus fall within classes <strong>PXR5<\/strong> and <strong>PXR3<\/strong> of the new
